Big Smith bibs - one of our #1 selling bib overalls to-date. Founded in 1916 in Carthage, Missouri by the Smith family, Big Smith bib overalls has become a staple for working class men. Over the last century, the original Smith family has turned over ownership and manufacturing of Big Smith clothing. More recentley, Walls Workwear purchased Big Smith circa 2000 and continued to grow the brand - up until 2013, when Walls Workwear was then purchased by Williamon Dickies, who manufactures Big Smith overalls to this present day. Unfortunately, a majority of their product line has been discontinued. However, the original bib overalls that were being produced has proven to span the course of a century.
Currently, Big Smith's line consists of three different bib overalls. The most popular style, 94009, is their Rigid Indigo Denim bib overall. It is constructed of a heavy 11.5 oz. 100% cotton denim. The 100% cotton naturally allows your body to breath. The dark rigid fabric looks crisp and is durable. They also offer this identical style, but in a stonewash version - style 94028. It has the same design and fabric, but the fabric itself has been put through a stonewashing machine to give it a soft hand and a lighter hue. And the last product offered, is style 94031 - their Hickory Stripe bib overall, which is reminiscent of an old time railroad worker.
There is a good chance that there is no need for us to try and sell you on a pair of these bibs - as you already have five pair in your closet. But if this happens be your first pair of bibs, a classic pair of Big Smith bib overalls would be setting the bar high.
